Let Your Light Shine

                                         Let Your Light Shine
Don't look for your salvation in things outside of you. Look inside of you where the Love of Jesus abides. That feeling of knowing there must be something else to this life. It is the light of Jesus waiting for you to allow it to shine. Don't leave this world knowing there is more and never find it.

Rising Above

So I got the job, I really loved it I was working it. The job is in the next state over but just over the line. I figured I needed a car so, I got one. The day I signed for the car I went to work, I was informed that my hours were cut. Now, I am working to pay the car note. Can't afford gas some weeks. Really, wow it took so long to find the job. I am trying to stay strong it is tough.
God is the only thing keeping me going. I know I am to trust in him and not rely on my understanding of the problem. I need to pray in the spirit that is my focus right now. Dear Lord, I want to pray in the spirit. I just don't know what is stopping me. I have been told it is a choice. Release me from my worldly limitations, in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.

Somewhere in the Middle

I keep my head up. Though it is hard it seems some things are inevitable. I don't understand how things got to be this way. I seem to find myself  in the same position. In between the trying my hardest and the resting of the brain, the holding back of the stress and strain. The constant praying is what keeps me sane.
I still hold on to hope praising the Lord helps me cope.
Well things are different and the same. When I began writing this I had no job, now I do. My living situation is not what I want it to be but, I have somewhere to sleep at night so, I am not complaining. I have been working and living while trying to prioritize.I work in another town so I need transportation. I need an apartment because we all need our own space. These are the type of things people have been facing for the last 15 years, some even longer. Some people are willing to blame all of this on one man. Well, if we give it more thought we can all come to the conclusion that it all comes down to the fact, we have always taken certain things for granted, in this country.
This is what lands us in situations that we don't want to take responsibility for. Most Americans fail to realize we are blessed. We have more than what we need in most cases. The reality is that it is now harder to maintain the standard which we have become accustom to.
Well everything happens for a reason. God wants us to care, He wants us to share, He wants us to realize that we were all put here to help make the world a  better place. So, stop your whining and get up and do something for someone else. Maybe you will have less time to waste on that pity party. Stop being selfish, stop complaining about trivial things it makes you sound ridiculous.

Not by Sight

We must stay in faith even unto death because, there is a greater promise of eternal life through Christ Jesus.
Many righteous men and women of God were faithful through hard times, trials because they knew they were only here for a short time. There was no promise of eternal life they had to follow the law, to obtain eternal life.
These people of faith had no desire to return to where they came from. They had their eyes on what God had promised them. They stepped out in faith.
They anticipated eternal life in heaven with God the father. The gift given to us through Jesus when he was crucified for our sins.
Abraham's faith was so strong in the Lord that he was willing to sacrifice a son he had prayed for, for years.
Because Abraham trusted God he was not afraid to follow his instruction, even to the point of
sacrificing his only son.
Abraham knew that God could raise Isaac from the dead. The belief that all things could be done with God was clear to Abraham.
When we are obedient to God and live righteously, love one another, God blesses us. We must praise God , pray, read the Bible and tithe.
We must worship the Lord for he blesses us exceedingly and abundantly.
Joseph went through being sold by his brothers and being put in prison for a crime he did not commit. He stayed faithful even when things looked impossible. We must stay faithful in times of trouble.
When we have faith in God we should not be afraid to do what we know is right.
When you have faith you can come out of your comfort zone and do great things.
We must realize we are here on earth, only for a season. When we confess the Lord Jesus Christ as our savior and believe he died for our sins, then we can have eternal life. We must not live in sin.
Moses believed that being dishonored because of Christ was better than the riches of Egypt. Being rewarded for obeying the Lord is greater than having earthly riches.
We must forsake the world because we live for Christ, we must live in the spirit and be delivered.
Today we are still to give our first fruits to the Lord. The first tenth of our earnings should be given to the work of the Lord through tithing.
When God gives you something to do he will give you what you need to do it.
Anyone can be used by the Lord and redeemed for, when we bless Israel, God blesses us.
Throughout the Bible and time God has sent his message through faithful believers. We must faithfully believe.
With God all things are possible. God uses circumstances and people that in our eyes are unlikely to fulfill His will.
The spirit of God comes into believes and they are able to do what may seem to be impossible, to those who don't believe.
Many were persecuted because of their belief in Jesus Christ. When you confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior the enemy wants to keep you from the promises God has made to believers. Eternal life being the ultimate promise.
Many were beaten and put into prison for teaching and preaching in the name of Jesus Christ. These things did not deter them, for they knew they were following God and leading the lost to salvation.
God promises believers they will be blessed. The Holy Spirit will dwell within them, they will have eternal life in heaven, as believers we are heirs of Abraham.
These men and women of great faith could not dwell among the heathens. Sin and idolatry were prevalent, it was hard for believers. In today's world some believers have difficulties living among those who do not believe.
Although these men and women of good faith were persecuted for their belief in Christ, they still believed in a better country. That country being heaven in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We will all be brought up into heaven. When Jesus comes the dead  in Christ shall rise up, then we that are alive will be caught up. Being in heaven with God makes us prefect.

We Walk By Faith

Faith is belief that has no logical proof. There is no logical proof that Mary became pregnant by the Holy Ghost.
Men and women of the Bible had faith in God. When there was no reason for them to believe they held on to the promises of God.
The Bible is the word of God. Everything is from God. God created the world. When you believe and seek to understand the word of God, you will find your way in the world.
In the Old Testament animals were sacrificed so that sin could be forgiven. In the New Testament sacrifice is no longer necessary , because Jesus died for our sins.
Because of Enoch's faithfulness God took him to heaven before he could suffer death, but only after 365 years on Earth.
We must seek God in everything we do.  God has a plan for all of his children. We were all created for a purpose.
When we have faith in the Lord we must continue to live righteously even in the midst of an unrighteous world.
That which was formerly inherited by law is now obtained by faith. Faith in the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ, who died for our sins, so that we may become heirs.
We are here on Earth only for a short time. It is temporary our home is in heaven with the Lord. We will dwell in God's glory when we live righteously.
When we put our faith in God, who is the creator of all things, our foundation is one of supernatural strength.
God is faithful. When we have faith in God we believe and wait patiently for answers. Believing in His promises.
God promised Abraham he would make him the father of many nations. Although Abraham didn't have a son yet, he had faith in God. When you take Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior you are the son of God and the seed of Abraham.

40 Days of Faith Day 40

Provide- prepare, furnish, supply
Perfect- complete, faultless, mature
Hebrews 11:40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.
We will all be brought up into heaven, when Jesus comes the dead in Christ shall rise up, then we that are alive will be caught up.Being in heaven with God makes us prefect.
Matthew 5:8 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is prefect.
2 Timothy 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

40 Days of Faith Day 39

Obtain- reach, to gain, to acquire

Receive- lay hold

Hebrews 11:39 And these all, having obtained a good report through, received not the promise

Although these men and women of good faith were persecuted for their belief in Christ, they still believed in a better country. That country being heaven, in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Colossians 1:5 For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;

1 Peter 1:4 To an inheritance incorruptable, and undefiled, and fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

40 Days of Faith Day 38

Worthy- Honorable; admirable

Wander- stray, deviate

Hebrews11:38 (of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.

These men and women of great faith could not dwell among the heathens. Sin and idolatry were prevalent, it was hard for believers. In todays world some faithful believers have difficulties dwelling among those who do not believe.

1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in them.

John 15:19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

40 Days of Faith Day 37

Sawn asunder- sawn in two

Destitute- lacking, in want, devoid, forsaken

Hebrews 11:37 They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented.

God promises believers they will be blessed, the Holy Spirit will dwell within them and they will have eternal life in heaven. As believers we are heirs of Abraham.

Galatians 3:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ: that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Timothy 4:8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

40 Days of Faith Day 36

Mocking- to deride or jeer

Scourging-  punishing with a whip with thongs with metal pieces or bones attached

Hebrews 11:36 And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourging, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment.

Many were beaten and put into prison for teaching and preaching in the name of Jesus Christ. These things did not deter them for they knew they were following God and leading the lost to salvation.

Acts 5: 40-42 And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name. And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.
